The Parking Meter Wraps are being installed!
A shout out to Derek Stonebarger for the idea, the rest of the 18b Board and Brandy Stanley for spearheading the effort, and Maria Soto and the City of Las Vegas for making it happen.
The new parking meter wraps are going in throughout the Arts District! All were created by local artists who were paid for their submissions. The Arts District is growing and with that growth come a few woes. Like parking. We know there are very few fans of paid parking in the Arts District but with parking still difficult to find, the City is using the parking meter money to pay for the multi-story garage being built on Casino Center at Utah. Thank you to all our community members for continuing to slog it out and work towards a solution and for offering ideas on how to keep Art in the Arts District.
